Seven regions to move into red zone of COVID-19 restrictions on Oct 30

On October 30, Zhytomyr, Ivano-Frankivsk, Kyiv, Luhansk, Khmelnytskyi, Chernihiv and Lviv regions will move into the red zone of epidemiological danger, according to Minister for Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine Oleksiy Chernyshov.

“On behalf of Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal, I held a meeting of the Commission on Technogenic and Environmental Safety and Emergencies,” Chernyshov wrote on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

According to Chernyshov, the epidemiological situation in Ukraine is difficult and the number of hospitalizations is growing.

“However, statistics also clearly show that vaccination saves from the severe course of the disease. In the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, priorities remain the same – strengthening anti-epidemic measures, increasing the number of tests and raising the rate of vaccination,” Chernyshov added.
