During the meeting on March 3, 2026, the Accreditation Commission reviewed and accredited 79 educational and professional programs (hereinafter referred to as EPPs) of professional pre-higher education, five of which were accredited conditionally.
Despite the difficult conditions for educational activities during the period of martial law, confirming EPPs’ compliance with educational standards remains relevant. According to Ruslan Gurak, Head of the State Service of Education Quality, the Service receives an average of 30-35 applications for EPP accreditation every week, which indicates that educational institutions are aware of the importance of external quality assurance as a tool for confirming the trustworthiness, transparency, and legitimacy of educational programs.
The Service, together with the State Educational Institution “Educational and Methodological Center for Education Quality,” is systematically working to improve the accreditation process and expand the pool of human resources in the expert community. In February 2026, 48 new experts joined the expert community, having successfully completed training and received certificates as experts in the accreditation of EPPs in the field of professional pre-higher education.
Updating and strengthening the expert community is a necessary condition for ensuring the objectivity, impartiality, and compliance of Ukrainian accreditation procedures with European approaches to external quality assurance in education.
Accreditation of educational and professional programs is an activity of the State Service of Education Quality of Ukraine to evaluate EPPs and the educational activities of educational institutions under the relevant program in terms of ensuring and improving the quality of professional pre-higher education, carried out through accreditation expertise.
