The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, with the participation of the State Energy Efficiency Agency, has completed work on bringing by-laws in line with the Law “On Energy Efficiency” in terms of canceling the state expertise on energy saving.
This was announced on Tuesday, May 24, by the press office of the State Agency for Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving of Ukraine.
“The obsolete administrative tool – the state expertise on energy conservation – has been completely abolished,” the agency said in a press release.
For this, the following acts were adopted, developed with the participation of the agency: government resolution No. 17, according to which 5 resolutions of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, which concerned the state expertise on energy saving at the request of the old, already inactive Law of Ukraine “On Energy Saving” of 1994, became invalid; order of the Ministry of Energy of 08.02.2022 No. 45 “On the invalidation of the order of the State Committee of Ukraine for Energy Saving of March 9, 1999 No. 15”.
The order came into force on April 15 this year. Previously, passing the state examination on energy saving was paid and mandatory during activities related to the extraction, production and consumption of fuel and energy resources in order to receive benefits, lending to energy efficiency measures and other areas. The Law of Ukraine “On Energy Efficiency” provides for the widespread use of such European instruments as energy management and audit.
