A total of 64 cultural institutions have been destroyed and 252 damaged in the Donetsk region since the Russian full-scale invasion started.
The relevant statement was made by Donetsk Regional Military Administration, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“Within the occupied areas, Russians ban the Ukrainian language and persecute people for Ukrainian traditions. Within the free territory, they destroy everything they can reach. The occupiers are waging a deliberate war to exterminate the Ukrainian culture. Over six and a half months since the full-scale war started, Russians have already destroyed 64 cultural institutions in the Donetsk region, and caused damage to 252 more,” the report states.
The objects affected by the Russian armed aggression include 115 clubs, 108 libraries, 22 art schools, 13 museums, one art college, one theater and 56 religious buildings.
