During the Digital Transformation Summit in Brussels, the European Union’s GovTech incubator Govtech4all was launched, which includes 14 countries and 21 partner organisations. Among them are the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine and the Ukrainian Startup Fund.
Leading experts and digital government agencies from all over Europe became partners of the Govtech4all project. In particular, Belgium, Denmark, Estonia, Germany, Spain and others. Ukraine was the only non-EU country to join the incubator. The main goal of the project is to introduce innovations in governments so that citizens receive convenient electronic services. In the first phase, the Govtech4all incubator will develop three pilot projects to be implemented in 2023-2025. For this period, EUR 6 million will be allocated for their implementation.
Mykhailo Fedorov, Deputy Prime Minister for Innovation, Education, Science and Technology Development and Minister of Digital Transformation, spoke at the Digital Transformation Summit at the invitation of Paul Hofheinz, President and Co-Founder of the Lisbon Council.
The Minister presented the results of Ukraine’s digital transformation and a vision of the future, including the Diia philosophy, the launch of electronic services and the change in the country’s technological culture.
“We continue to build the most convenient state in the world and move towards the goal of digitising 100% of the most popular public services. In 3 years, Ukraine has made progress in digital transformation. We have created the Diia app, which is used by more than 19 million Ukrainians. We launch online services almost every week, and the world is keenly interested in our experience. In the future, we are ready to share our experience and expertise with European countries to develop innovative solutions and achieve new results together,” said Mykhailo Fedorov.
The Summit was also attended by Johannes Hahn, European Commissioner for Budget and Administration, Mark Boris Andrijanić, Member of the Governing Board at the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), and Luukas Ilves, CIO of Estonia at the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications.
