U-LEAD to help 24 communities develop territorial recovery plans

U-LEAD with Europe has started providing support to 24 selected communities in the development of comprehensive territorial recovery programs and community recovery and development plans.

U-LEAD said this in a post on its Facebook page, Ukrinform reports.

“In July-October, the communities will work on the development of both types of recovery documentation: collect data, use geo-information systems for their analysis, form recovery proposals and make decisions only on the basis of this,” the report says.

It is noted that the comprehensive territorial recovery program is an analytical and spatial document that defines the main urban planning and socio-economic priorities of the policy of restoring the territory affected by armed aggression. The community recovery and development plan is a strategic planning document that will include recovery and development tasks and measures, local development projects.

“These two types of documentation are interrelated and will help communities both to ensure effective reconstruction and to attract funds to implement recovery projects,” U-LEAD emphasizes.

As many as 24 communities have been selected for the project.
