After a visit to the United States, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Ukraine would receive additional Patriot systems and dozens of other air defence systems.
He said this in his morning address.
“The whole week was full of events and negotiations. Now, after a visit to the United States, we have a decision on new Patriot and dozens of other air defence systems. We are working to increase the strength and number of Ukrainian Patriots. I am grateful to all our partners who help us,” the President said.
The Head of State also added that Ukraine had signed three new security agreements with Poland, Luxembourg and Romania this week and announced new ones.
“There are three new security agreements for Ukraine. Poland, Luxembourg, and Romania. And now the team is working on new documents – there will be agreements with the Czech Republic, Slovenia, and after a meeting with the Prime Minister of Ireland, we decided to prepare an agreement as well,” Zelenskyy said.
The President recalled the Ukrainian Compact, which was approved at the NATO summit in Washington.
“It’s all about weapons for our soldiers, about the work of defence companies in Ukraine and with Ukraine, about supporting our recovery – everything is as specific as possible and really supports our defence of life. There are new defence packages,” the Head of State said.
