Casey Michel “American kleptocracy”: public discussion and presentation of the Ukrainian translation

We invite you to a fascinating presentation of the book “American Kleptocracy” by Casey Michel, a high-profile investigative journalism about how the United States has become the world’s largest financial offshore for corrupt officials, dictators and shadowy elites.

The book lifts the veil on how American states like Delaware and Nevada have become ideal havens for anonymous companies, how post-Soviet oligarchs and African dictators are grabbing real estate and influencing the US economy, and how dirty money is infiltrating the most prestigious universities and think tanks.

During the event, you will learn about:

How the US has become the main center of global money laundering.

What mechanisms allow corrupt officials to hide their wealth.

Is there a chance to return America to its role as a leader in the fight against financial crime?
