The National Technical University «Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute» has been winning the Grand Prix «Leader of Higher Education of Ukraine» for many years in a row. This award was received at the 16th International Exhibition Modern Educational Institutions 2025». In addition, Professor Yevgen Sokol, Rector of NTU «KhPI», received a personal Acknowledgement from Vasyl Kremen, President of the National Academy of educational sciences of Ukraine, and Yevgen Bazhenkov, Director of the State Scientific Institution «Institute of Education Content Modernization», for his significant contribution to the development of higher education in Ukraine. The work of Kharkiv Polytechnic scientists on the development of an information and analytical system for the preservation and processing of documents from ancient archives was awarded a gold medal in the Artificial Intelligence category. The event, which was held online, brought together more than 500 representatives of Ukraine, Poland, Lithuania, Romania, Hungary and Estonia. The exhibition became the highest-rated and largest exhibition in Ukraine in terms of its professional level and number of participants.

Professor Yevgen Sokol, Rector of NTU «KhPI», received a personal Acknowledgement «for a significant contribution to the development of higher education in Ukraine» from Vasyl Kremen, President of the National Academy of educational sciences of Ukraine and Yevgen Bazhenkov, Director of the State Scientific Institution «Institute of Education Content Modernization», The scientific work of Kharkiv Polytechnic scientists «Development of an information and analytical system for the preservation and processing of documents of ancient archives» was also awarded a high prize. It received a gold medal in the nomination «Artificial Intelligence in Education: Innovative Opportunities and Challenges for Teachers and Students». The authors of the gold medal are scientists from the Department of System Analysis and Information and Analytical Technologies of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Computer Science and Information Technologies of NTU «KhPI»: Professor Tetyana Aleksandrova, Academic Secretary Professor Maksym Malko and student Oleh Mosievych.
In addition, at the exhibition «Modern Educational Institutions-2025», representatives of Kharkiv Polytechnic held a Round Table discussion «Modern Approaches to the Educational Process». The participants were greeted by the Vice-Rector of NTU «KhPI», Professor Andrii Marchenko. The meeting was moderated by Ruslan Kryvobok, Head of the Research Department of the Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute, and his deputy Artem Zakharov. The speakers of the event were scientists of Kharkiv Polytechnic: Head of the Department of Project Management in Information Technologies Maryna Grynchenko; Head of the Department of System Analysis and Information and Analytical Technologies Tetyana Aleksandrova; Head of the Department of Management, Director of the Startup center «SPARK» Nataliia Shmatko; Associate Professor of the Department of Software Engineering and Management Intelligent Technologies Mariia Bilova; Professor of the Department of Computer Mathematics and Data Analysis Oleksii Haluza; Associate Professor of the Department of Physics Alla Savchenko; Associate Professor of the Department of Information Systems and Technologies Andrii Pashnev; Associate Professor of the Department of Multimedia and Internet Technologies and Systems Hanna Zavolodko; Head of the Department of Cybersecurity Serhii Yevseiev; and PhD student of the Department of Marketing Dmytro Pazii.
Scientists and specialists discussed topics related to education for war veterans; gamification as a tool for acquiring hard skills and developing soft skills; the role of the startup center «SPARK» in the ecosystem of NTU «KhPI»; experience in using elements of non-formal education in the training of cybersecurity specialists, etc. More than 40 representatives of other universities, employees of school and vocational education institutions took part in the Kharkiv Polytechnic Round Table.
The 16th International Exhibition «Modern Educational Institutions 2025» has become the most highly rated and large-scale exhibition in Ukraine in terms of its professional level, content of the program on the most pressing issues of modernization of the education sector and the number of participants. The general theme of its events was the invincibility of national education, the steadfastness of Ukrainians in defending Ukraine, and the progressive development of our country. The participants discussed ways to implement international cooperation, introduce modern practices and methods to support the psychosocial well-being of participants in the educational process, volunteer projects, current trends in education, prospects for professional development and opportunities, the importance of integrating innovative approaches into education, the use of artificial intelligence in the educational process, resources for the professional development of teachers in the context of STEM, etc. The exhibition featured 67 conferences, seminars, presentations, master classes, trainings, expert discussions, educational workshops, etc. They were attended by managers, leading experts and scientists from the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine, the Institute for Modernization of Education Content, education practitioners, students and pupils. In total, the online events brought together more than 9000 people.
We should note that Kharkiv Polytechnic has been winning the Grand Prix for many years in a row. Last year, the work of the NTU «Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute» was also recognized with an award. In general, Kharkiv Polytechnic traditionally holds the high bar of the leader of higher education in Ukraine: the university has already won more than 16 medals at the events organized by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.
