The Russian Federation without any real reasons unprovokedly unleashed the war with Ukraine – the biggest war in Europe since World War II.
The scale of the destruction, the influx of refugees and the depth of the suffering of the civilian population in Ukraine and during World War II are generally comparable. There are also similar the actions of the both dictators who waged these wars and the regimes they created.
Both Hitler and Putin cynically lied that they wanted peace, promised not to start a war, and both were very “concerned” about the fate of the population in neighboring states, which is being allegedly persecuted. Both promised not to use military force against civilians. And, of course, they lied, starting a war of annihilation. Both created their own imaginary world, in which their peoples / races were to take the position of hegemon, both dictators wanted to revive the past greatness and used the most rude, disgusting, dishonest propaganda.
The rhetoric is similar. If Hitler, for example, had been “solving” the Jewish question, today Putin is “solving” the Ukrainian question. And their only recipe is physical destruction. Hitler intended to exterminate all European Jews. And Putin openly denies the right of Ukrainian identity for existance and declares that he wants to destroy the so-called “Ukrainian Nazis”. Which, in fact, do not exist and cannot exist in a democratic Ukraine, but the myth of which completely false Russian propaganda has been nailing in the brains of Russians for more than twenty years of rule of the Kremlin “Fuhrer”.
In fact, Putin’s so-called “denazification” of Ukrainians is the same type of perverted rhetoric that Hitler used to justify and implement Holocaust policies.
And since all Ukrainians are now fighting the occupiers in different ways, they are all potential victims of Russian terror. The experience of extermination of Ukrainians by Russians is rich. It is worth mentioning the Holodomor genocide of 1932-1933, when Putin’s idol Stalin starved up to death millions Ukrainians. As well as brutal political repression, when the Moscow communist authorities shot, murdered in prisons and camps, deported millions of Ukrainians to Siberia.
The history of World War II taught the peoples of Europe that Nazism could not be reconciled. Because you can’t agree with evil, you can only uproot it. The Putin regime is following in the footsteps of Hitler. Moreover, he has already de facto acquired almost all the hallmarks of the Nazi. And some of his actions even “surpassed” the Third Reich.
Therefore, all nations, all people who consider themselves civilized, are obliged to act. And this is not only moral, but also rational, because regimes such as Hitler’s or Putin’s do not stop halfway. They want more and more, and they can no longer stop.If Putin somehow manages to seize Ukraine, he will definitely go further.
Russian propagandists already dream of Poland, the Baltic states, Finland and some have agreed to “denazify” Germany. Note that all of them are in the service of the Kremlin, they do not speak for themselves. They are actually announcing Putin’s plans.
The only way for free nations to stop Russian neo-Nazis is to actively and consolidatedly oppose them – in the skies, in the fields and in the cities of Ukraine, diplomatically and economically. And it is necessary to do it not tomorrow, the day after tomorrow or in a month, but today. Because every day of procrastination will only increase the price that all Europeans will have to pay.
