Specialists of the Inhulets GOK are creating a green “shield” on the territory of the tailings pond

The process is controlled by environmentalists of the enterprise Rye is sown on the territory of the tailings pond of the Inhulets Mining and Processing Plant (InGOK), which is part of the Metinvest Group.

For several years in a row “sowing” is in the list of spring works of the enterprise, reported in company. It is emphasized that this process is controlled by InGOK ecologists.

How the process works Cereals are sown on the maps of the tailings, where you want to fix the surface. Rye seeds are added to the soil with the help of a tractor and a seeder. When the plants germinate, their root system and aboveground part form a green “shield” that will prevent dust from spraying.

Іn total, this year they plan to sow about 20 hectares of the tailings. In another area, the technologies of alluvial maps with technical water, rock loading and treatment with solutions of humic reagents are used.
