Duda on Zelensky’s greetings: Not only gesture of friendship, but also act of brotherhood

Polish President Andrzej Duda has thanked his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky for his greetings on the Polish Armed Forces Day.

That’s according to Polskie Radio, Ukrinform reports.

“Thank you very much for the wonderful wishes. Their form, which is particularly close to us, means that we see them not only as a gesture of friendship, but also as an act of brotherhood,” Duda wrote on social media, in response to Zelensky’s greetings.

He added that the Poles deeply believe that Ukraine will defeat evil, including thanks to the country’s union with Poland.

Yesterday, August 15, Zelensky congratulated the citizens of Poland on their country’s Armed Forces Day in Polish. Ukrainian army commanders and government officials in Kyiv also greeted the Poles on the holiday.
