More than 300 war-damaged healthcare facilities already restored completely

In Ukraine, more than 300 healthcare facilities damaged during the war have been completely restored.

“To date, more than 1,500 healthcare facilities have been damaged or destroyed. We strive not just to restore them but to rebuild them better than they were… More than 700 objects of healthcare facilities have already been partially or completely restored,” said Minister of Health Viktor Liashko.

According to the Ministry of Health, 1,389 healthcare facilities have been damaged and 186 facilities have been completely destroyed during the full-scale war. The healthcare infrastructure of Kharkiv, Donetsk, Mykolayiv, Kyiv, and Chernihiv regions suffered the greatest losses.

Despite constant enemy shelling and bombardment, part of the healthcare facilities in Ukraine has already been restored. In particular, as of the end of July 2023, 343 healthcare facilities were completely restored and another 414 facilities were partially restored.

Most facilities were restored in Mykolayiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Kyiv, Kharkiv, and Chernihiv regions.
