17 Ukrainians won scholarships for Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters degrees

Totally 17 Ukrainians winners of the 2024 сall will study at Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters at universities in Europe and worldwide within European Union Erasmus+ Programme. 

14 young women and 3 young men from Ukraine will start Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters this autumn at the leading universities of Belgium, France, Germany, Greece, Latvia, Malta, Netherlands, Portugal, Serbia, Spain, and Sweden. The main subject areas of the students’ choice are: Big Data, Management and Human Rights Policy, Neuroscience, Biomedical Engineering and Membrane Engineering, Society and Politics, Culture and Lexicography, Urban Studies and Sustainable Development.

Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters are unique master courses developed by a consortium of a minimum of two European universities which provide grants that fully cover the study programme, travel cost, insurance, visa support, scholarship of EUR 1 000 per month, etc. In addition to their main curricula, students will be enrolled at language courses, traineeships, learn about the countries of their stay, discover and enjoy new culture together with groupmates from around the world.

A total of 465 Ukrainian students have won Erasmus Mundus scholarships since 2014. They are considered to act as ‘ambassadors’, promote and support Ukraine in Europe and will contribute to Ukraine’s development, modernisation and reforms.

This year Erasmus Mundus celebrates 20 years anniversary. Since 2004 as a world opening of the programme, 749 Ukrainians were funded by the European Commission. Over 600 Alumni of Joint Masters and PhD Excellence Programmes have been working in different fields, sectors of Ukraine and other countries contributing to the victory of Ukraine, key reforms in public and private sectors, education and research institutions, national authorities, start ups, innovation companies etc.  Lean more about Erasmus Mundus Impact Study at the link.
