Next few months “critical” for Ukraine – Kirby

The U.S. administration believes the developments on Ukraine’s battlefields over the next few months will be critical to its overall defense effort, so Congress should pace up decision-making on continuing support.

The statement came from the National Security Council stratcom coordinator, John Kirby, Ukrinform’s own correspondent reports.

“The next couple of months are going to be critical for Ukraine,” said the White House official.

He emphasized that the Russians continue to attack Ukraine, launching barrages of drones and missiles. Therefore, the Ukrainian command is already forced to make difficult decisions on which weapons to expend and what ammunition to fire, which is “a horrible place to put the Ukrainian military in”.
